I just finished up the last of my projects with the rockin' November kit and sat down to post them. I was clicking around on the site, checking out some of the new features and I came across "My Creations". I looked through them once….noticed something unusual….and then looked again. Wanna know what I just discovered…??
November will be the first month that I created a 12x12 layout for Club Ruby!!
I've been lucky enough to be part of the DT from the beginning….which means I've made creations from 3 kits…and yet not one of them is an actual traditional, scrapbook layout!
What does this mean I wonder??
Can I still call myself a scrapbooker??
If you are reading this….I want to know what you think…
As an official member of the Design Team, should I be posting traditional layouts? Or should I continue to create eclectic projects that might make some people think outside the 12x12 layout??

always good to think outside the box.
I prefer to see layouts.
I think you should make what you want to make :D. I like to see variety. I always make the things I like best, when they are things I really wanted to make (if that makes sense) lol. So if you are inspired to make a 12 x 12 layout, make that, if you want to make jewelry make that :D.
I think people who make scrapbook pages are scrapbookers no matter how long between pages.
In order to avoid the dreaded Scrappers Block that gets us all at one point or another, I tend to wait for inspiration before sitting down to create. (I usually don't have to wait long!) Once I have an idea for a project, a layout, a new technique, etc...it will haunt me until I do something with it. Sometimes it's a success....sometimes not-so-much, lol.
I spend a recent couple of months working on a 12x12 scrapbook for a dear friend of mine. I think that the "alternative" projects I've been submitting for the Design Team gave me an opportunity to make something other than a layout...even though I didn't do it consciously!
I like variety but the best projects will also be what you're "feeling" at the time or how the kit inspires you. And I agree with Ohhh Snap that you're a scrapbooker no matter how long in between the layouts. I love looking at all the DT creations, regardless of what they are.
I love the layout you did by the way
