Expression 2

My little Create is definitely not doing it for me anymore.  What are the pros and cons of the Imagine and Expression?  Does Gypsy make a difference?

  • LOVE my Imagine! It has some cons for me though - like I wanted to weld some stuff on my gypsy and cut with my Imagine BUT you can't choose anything to make it a kiss cut! UGH! So for that I used my CE2 and that worked great. SO I've found benefits for both. Gypsy and Imagine don't work the best for me so far. SLUGGISH Imagine App on the G and you can't even choose where you want to cut on the mat etc... - hope that Cricut Craft Room changes that - but for now my Gypsy is having fun with the CE2.

LOVe both though. The kids and I have a BLAST creating paper dolls with the Imagine and I love that I don't need lots of papers. Just one white sheet!

  • If you like to cut thin chipboard and use the 12 x 24 mat, you're better off with the Expression. I just got my Imagine today (I won it on Everyday Cricut or I wouldn't have one lol), but I haven't had a chance to play with it at all. I think it's going to be fun though! I think the Canadian Verison of HSN (the Shopping Channel) is selling PC products on 5/5. Maybe you can check things out online? Have fun shopping :D

  • Alison- I have the baby bug, the E and the Imagine, and the gypsy. Know what I use the most?? The baby bug and my gypsy!! So YES, I think having a gypsy makes ALL the difference. You can turn images so they cut 12 inches long, 6 inches wide. I crop on the go alot, so I take the baby bug and the gypsy with me everywhere (even on our beach vacation next week!) I hardly ever use my E anymore and I only use the Imagine for when I want to print and cut, or when I want to make a large cut for a scrapbook page.
